Hmm, so. Here we are again. This was such a nice day to do this challenge since we had Veila's show-debut in a puppy show that was held in our home town, Lahti.
12:42am. Playing this extremely addicting online game called Transformice. The idea in that game is to play as a mouse, get a cheese and bring it into the hole - alive. Almost in every map one of the mice is a Shaman, who got special skills to help other mice to stay alive during the playgrounds. I suck at being the Shaman, to be honest. :D I've never figured how to use all the skills.. maybe someday.. Anyways, we were playing just with 4 people from petsie.fi, the playing room is dedicated to that social netsite's users. We got stuck in that one heart-map and I decided to take a photo of it since the heart was actually really cute. :)
1:33am I logged into a MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role-playing game) called FlyFF (Fly For Fun). I was used to play this game a lot still like a year ago but I've already lost the interest for it. Sometimes it's fun to visit there just to chat with people I used to play with before. :) In the photo my character is at PVP-arena (which is more like a place to gather to talk with others), Tom pretending to be mad with me hahah :D My character is called Yesta, ringmaster (healer, assist) in Lawolf cluster.
2:52am.. after being long enough on FlyFF talking to the people in there I decided to try out their new version (v16 - Rise of the Muran) which got its beta version released only a few days ago. Succeeded to download and install it quite fast, in the photo reading random forums while waiting the game to patch all the v16 updates. Heheh, "WWW-page not found" probably because of the v16 files. What I've heard about this version update, they're gonna have a lot new stuff in it.. Including a new, higher level cap and third job change - doesn't sound good for me.
3:37am. I was happy to find out that my character had been saved in the beta-version from v14 beta so I didn't have to create any new one! Been solving out new stuff around in the game, this photo I took when I arrived to Ellium (new Kallium -area's capital).. I'm really glad that I don't play anymore so I don't have to bother with the new job changes etc, though the new maps seem quite beautiful.
Around at 4am I went to bed, and woke up a bit before 9am, no photos during those hours. And heheh yeah, fairly 5 hours sleep is enough! Actually a lot. :)
9:06am. GOOD MORNING.
Feeding the home-zoo.. Minus-kitty was hungry enough to wait for me with his food so he decided to try eating straight from the can.
Since we're having the puppy show in our own home town, we weren't that much in a hurry this morning. Anyways taking a shower, drying hair, checking clothes and all the stuff we'll need in the show, bringing adult dogs for a morning walk and all that filled our morning. Since it's a puppy show the only dog from our pack participating is Veila and it'll be her show-debut. People have been asking me if I'm nervous about it - no, I'm not. Quite excited to meet two of her siblings though. I wanted to see how SMALL Veila actually is compared to them!
10:11am. Since my mom lives close to us and she had a free morning, she promised to give us a drive to the show place. :) Photo about Veila being in my mom's car.
Once we arrived to the show place and got inside, found all other Collie people I started hearing the usual.. "Oh how small she is!" - is that so? I think I haven't heard that before! Heh. I met her sister Laila and brother Paavo aswell. Paavo had grown a lot since I saw him last time and Laila had stopped growing.. but she was still loads bigger than my little midget. We were following Rough Collie puppies meanwhile since their ring was before Smooths. Getting excited yet? Actually not at all..
11:25am was finally Veila's turn..
She was her own true self outside the ring, barking for others, being energetic and all so I thought she'd be awful in the ring aswell but that was absolutely wrong. Anni joked yesterday about show-stuff being "in her blood" since her mom is such a show star. In other words, Veila was showing extremely well - standing really nicely, running with no problem and even letting the judge to check her out without any "hey you're super nice! let me give you a kiss!" episodes. And she's just 5 months old, I'm proud. :)
We had 3 puppies in her class, and she got the third placement without HP. Simply because she's so small. The judge told me that he really likes Veila but he can't give her a placement because of her size - that's what I was already expecting. The judge even told Veila's breeder how much he liked this little sable, and after the breeder-ring (Veila was in Timonan kennel's group, we got best breeder of the breed since no other breeder groups were participating) he had a talk with both of us, me and the breeder. He told again how he really likes my little midget, saying there's everything alright with her, nothing wrong and how beautiful she is.. and that she might even be the most beautiful from all the female puppies only if she was bigger. His words made my heart smile.
I know Veila's small and I know she's quite beautiful.. Should never say that about my own dog but she's just the type I like. She's still young so she got hope to grow up, and we all are hoping she will - even 5 centimetres. She's been called mini-Bombi (since Bombi's her mother), but I came into a solution that her sister Laila is mini-Bombi and Veila's actually minimini-Bombi. ;D Laila won the best puppy of the breed out of 11 Smooth Collie puppies and Paavo was the best from males. Good job Timonan Y's!
I've heard a lot of people telling how bad judge Johan Juslin is, saying he's too hard checking the dogs and all that. I disagree with those rumors, for us Juslin was really good judge and he always gave us explanations why he gave the dogs those placements (such as telling me about Veila's size). He's very strict but I think that's just good. :) Gonna bring Veila again to this judge's ring if we get a chance in the future - and if she grows up..
12:49pm outside playing with Veila. So this is my all peaceful show dog who can't do anything else than pose in the show ring, huh? ;)
1:07pm ^
2:42pm and 3:51pm >
Waiting, waiting..
Since Veila belonged to that Timonan kennel's breeder group and we won the breeder class, we had to stay waiting the group rings till the end of the show.. These three photos are taken during the time we had to wait there. TIP: If you are really impatient and don't like waiting at all, don't get a show dog. Dog shows are all about waiting. :D
4:04pm group rings had finally began! An hour late though.. This photo was taken right after Veila's sister Laila got away from the FCI 1 -group's ring. She did good there and won the whole group! Amazing girl, little star just like her mother is. :)
The photo tells something about Veila's size.. She's.. Quite small huh? I wonder how many times have I heard people calling her small today.. Anyways, in the picture from left to right:
Timonan Yettie Yezebel, Timonan Yamas Yannick and Timonan Yakira Yasmeen
5:18pm we were watching Laila's showing in the Best In Show ring. Every group-winner from 10 different FCI-groups get to compete about BIS-placements (placing BIS1-4).
Too bad she didn't get ranked. Winning the group is still really well done from Laila though, this litter just got 5 months old and this is their first show afterall.
6:58pm. We got lucky that Paavo's owner offered to drive us back home since they live quite close to us. Otherwise we would have had to use the bus because my mom wasn't home anymore in the evening.
After eating and stuff like that I sat on the PC and started to tell people about the show and discussed how did it go etc. Also transferring photos from camera's memory card into PC and going through them to see if there were any good ones. It was quite funny to see people telling online about Veila's size saying she actually is really, really small. I'm like.. that's what I've tried to tell you, why didn't you believe me before. :D
7:59pm checking again the photos from the show and beginning to edit a few.. You know, after a dog show you feel really restless and looking for something to do, watch or listen to all the time. It happens to me after every show - in there I got so much to do and see, at home nothing. So basically the last hour I've just talked it through with friends on MSN Messenger and tried to cool down! Little by little relaxing again and starting to feel tiredness. Veila's different from me in this case, she drank a lot of water and fell asleep straight on my bed at home.
8:39pm. Hello sunshine, mind waking up for a bit? You should go out for a pee..
9:18pm. Relaxed, all the show-stuff finally discussed through. I got online into FlyFF's v16 beta version again. In the official FlyFF is different clusters people play in so you can't see all the FlyFF-players inside one cluster. Myself I played in Lawolf cluster and since I know a lot of people from other clusters aswell, beta's a really good place to have a talk or do in-game tasks with them since most of them are curious to try newer versions in beta aswell. This time I found an old friend from Clockworks cluster and had quite a long talk with him. :)
10:50pm. Have you ever felt like you are being watched?
11:28pm Nadja decided that she wants to get outside. Anni had gone to sleep already so I took my keys and went out with my own girls. In the photo I got only one leash in my hand because I figured Nadja's actually the only one who really needs it.. otherwise she'd just run away and I'd be chasing her the rest of my night. Anyways, in the photo you can see my keychain with text 'Sigitius' - that's been one of my nicknames for years. The keychain looks like it has got some damage, right? All thanks to today's little star whose name starts with a V..
