Photo Per Hour -day #3

Hmm, so. Here we are again. This was such a nice day to do this challenge since we had Veila's show-debut in a puppy show that was held in our home town, Lahti.

12:42am. Playing this extremely addicting online game called Transformice. The idea in that game is to play as a mouse, get a cheese and bring it into the hole - alive. Almost in every map one of the mice is a Shaman, who got special skills to help other mice to stay alive during the playgrounds. I suck at being the Shaman, to be honest. :D I've never figured how to use all the skills.. maybe someday.. Anyways, we were playing just with 4 people from petsie.fi, the playing room is dedicated to that social netsite's users. We got stuck in that one heart-map and I decided to take a photo of it since the heart was actually really cute. :)

1:33am I logged into a MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role-playing game) called FlyFF (Fly For Fun). I was used to play this game a lot still like a year ago but I've already lost the interest for it. Sometimes it's fun to visit there just to chat with people I used to play with before. :) In the photo my character is at PVP-arena (which is more like a place to gather to talk with others), Tom pretending to be mad with me hahah :D My character is called Yesta, ringmaster (healer, assist) in Lawolf cluster.

2:52am.. after being long enough on FlyFF talking to the people in there I decided to try out their new version (v16 - Rise of the Muran) which got its beta version released only a few days ago. Succeeded to download and install it quite fast, in the photo reading random forums while waiting the game to patch all the v16 updates. Heheh, "WWW-page not found" probably because of the v16 files. What I've heard about this version update, they're gonna have a lot new stuff in it.. Including a new, higher level cap and third job change - doesn't sound good for me.

3:37am. I was happy to find out that my character had been saved in the beta-version from v14 beta so I didn't have to create any new one! Been solving out new stuff around in the game, this photo I took when I arrived to Ellium (new Kallium -area's capital).. I'm really glad that I don't play anymore so I don't have to bother with the new job changes etc, though the new maps seem quite beautiful.

Around at 4am I went to bed, and woke up a bit before 9am, no photos during those hours. And heheh yeah, fairly 5 hours sleep is enough! Actually a lot. :)

9:06am. GOOD MORNING.
Feeding the home-zoo.. Minus-kitty was hungry enough to wait for me with his food so he decided to try eating straight from the can.
Since we're having the puppy show in our own home town, we weren't that much in a hurry this morning. Anyways taking a shower, drying hair, checking clothes and all the stuff we'll need in the show, bringing adult dogs for a morning walk and all that filled our morning. Since it's a puppy show the only dog from our pack participating is Veila and it'll be her show-debut. People have been asking me if I'm nervous about it - no, I'm not. Quite excited to meet two of her siblings though. I wanted to see how SMALL Veila actually is compared to them!

10:11am. Since my mom lives close to us and she had a free morning, she promised to give us a drive to the show place. :) Photo about Veila being in my mom's car.

Once we arrived to the show place and got inside, found all other Collie people I started hearing the usual.. "Oh how small she is!" - is that so? I think I haven't heard that before! Heh. I met her sister Laila and brother Paavo aswell. Paavo had grown a lot since I saw him last time and Laila had stopped growing.. but she was still loads bigger than my little midget. We were following Rough Collie puppies meanwhile since their ring was before Smooths. Getting excited yet? Actually not at all..

11:25am was finally Veila's turn..
She was her own true self outside the ring, barking for others, being energetic and all so I thought she'd be awful in the ring aswell but that was absolutely wrong. Anni joked yesterday about show-stuff being "in her blood" since her mom is such a show star. In other words, Veila was showing extremely well - standing really nicely, running with no problem and even letting the judge to check her out without any "hey you're super nice! let me give you a kiss!" episodes. And she's just 5 months old, I'm proud. :)

We had 3 puppies in her class, and she got the third placement without HP. Simply because she's so small. The judge told me that he really likes Veila but he can't give her a placement because of her size - that's what I was already expecting. The judge even told Veila's breeder how much he liked this little sable, and after the breeder-ring (Veila was in Timonan kennel's group, we got best breeder of the breed since no other breeder groups were participating) he had a talk with both of us, me and the breeder. He told again how he really likes my little midget, saying there's everything alright with her, nothing wrong and how beautiful she is.. and that she might even be the most beautiful from all the female puppies only if she was bigger. His words made my heart smile.
I know Veila's small and I know she's quite beautiful.. Should never say that about my own dog but she's just the type I like. She's still young so she got hope to grow up, and we all are hoping she will - even 5 centimetres. She's been called mini-Bombi (since Bombi's her mother), but I came into a solution that her sister Laila is mini-Bombi and Veila's actually minimini-Bombi. ;D Laila won the best puppy of the breed out of 11 Smooth Collie puppies and Paavo was the best from males. Good job Timonan Y's!

I've heard a lot of people telling how bad judge Johan Juslin is, saying he's too hard checking the dogs and all that. I disagree with those rumors, for us Juslin was really good judge and he always gave us explanations why he gave the dogs those placements (such as telling me about Veila's size). He's very strict but I think that's just good. :) Gonna bring Veila again to this judge's ring if we get a chance in the future - and if she grows up..

12:49pm outside playing with Veila. So this is my all peaceful show dog who can't do anything else than pose in the show ring, huh? ;)

1:07pm ^
2:42pm and 3:51pm >

Waiting, waiting..
Since Veila belonged to that Timonan kennel's breeder group and we won the breeder class, we had to stay waiting the group rings till the end of the show.. These three photos are taken during the time we had to wait there. TIP: If you are really impatient and don't like waiting at all, don't get a show dog. Dog shows are all about waiting. :D

4:04pm group rings had finally began! An hour late though.. This photo was taken right after Veila's sister Laila got away from the FCI 1 -group's ring. She did good there and won the whole group! Amazing girl, little star just like her mother is. :)

The photo tells something about Veila's size.. She's.. Quite small huh? I wonder how many times have I heard people calling her small today.. Anyways, in the picture from left to right:
Timonan Yettie Yezebel, Timonan Yamas Yannick and Timonan Yakira Yasmeen

5:18pm we were watching Laila's showing in the Best In Show ring. Every group-winner from 10 different FCI-groups get to compete about BIS-placements (placing BIS1-4).
Too bad she didn't get ranked. Winning the group is still really well done from Laila though, this litter just got 5 months old and this is their first show afterall.

6:58pm. We got lucky that Paavo's owner offered to drive us back home since they live quite close to us. Otherwise we would have had to use the bus because my mom wasn't home anymore in the evening.
After eating and stuff like that I sat on the PC and started to tell people about the show and discussed how did it go etc. Also transferring photos from camera's memory card into PC and going through them to see if there were any good ones. It was quite funny to see people telling online about Veila's size saying she actually is really, really small. I'm like.. that's what I've tried to tell you, why didn't you believe me before. :D

7:59pm checking again the photos from the show and beginning to edit a few.. You know, after a dog show you feel really restless and looking for something to do, watch or listen to all the time. It happens to me after every show - in there I got so much to do and see, at home nothing. So basically the last hour I've just talked it through with friends on MSN Messenger and tried to cool down! Little by little relaxing again and starting to feel tiredness. Veila's different from me in this case, she drank a lot of water and fell asleep straight on my bed at home.

8:39pm. Hello sunshine, mind waking up for a bit? You should go out for a pee..

9:18pm. Relaxed, all the show-stuff finally discussed through. I got online into FlyFF's v16 beta version again. In the official FlyFF is different clusters people play in so you can't see all the FlyFF-players inside one cluster. Myself I played in Lawolf cluster and since I know a lot of people from other clusters aswell, beta's a really good place to have a talk or do in-game tasks with them since most of them are curious to try newer versions in beta aswell. This time I found an old friend from Clockworks cluster and had quite a long talk with him. :)

10:50pm. Have you ever felt like you are being watched?

11:28pm Nadja decided that she wants to get outside. Anni had gone to sleep already so I took my keys and went out with my own girls. In the photo I got only one leash in my hand because I figured Nadja's actually the only one who really needs it.. otherwise she'd just run away and I'd be chasing her the rest of my night. Anyways, in the photo you can see my keychain with text 'Sigitius' - that's been one of my nicknames for years. The keychain looks like it has got some damage, right? All thanks to today's little star whose name starts with a V..

Photo Per Hour -day #2

Here we go again, exactly the same thing than last time when I was participating to the photo shooting day.

First of all I must say that I was having Linda and Anni over at my place, including their dogs Belgian Shepherd "Nita" and Smooth Collies "Noomi" & "Milka". Anni had gone to sleep already but we were still awake with Linda.. so basically we had to have some fun together. In the photo we have Nita sitting in my kitchen's sink. And why's she in there? We have no clue, Linda just had the feeling that she must put her dog to sit into the sink and that's what happened at 12:58am.

After me and Linda had laughed enough at Nita, we took Vyylia out of her cage to socialize with us - and the dogs.. 1:08am Titja telling hello to Vyylia. She's always quite interested about our rodents when we're doing something with them, never when they're normally in their cage.

2:19am still awake.. Playing TPS (third-person shooting) game called S4 League. Normally I don't like playing such games but this one got my interest once I tried it out with some online friends. The photo is quite sucky because.. well you know, playing and taking a photo at the same time isn't that easy!
This is also the last picture from this night. I went to bed once I finished the match.

3-10am sleeping so no photos from those hours. :)

10:57am.. Believe me, I was awake at that time. I just wanted to sleep some more. Anni came to tell that she's gonna go visit her own home and took a photo of me (+Veila) at the same time. Oh and.. last time I hoped you wouldn't ask about rodent travelling boxes in the kitchen. This time please don't ask about not having a bed sheet that night.. we really don't know! Strange things happen sometimes.

I swear you really didn't want to see this photo. But alright, taken at 11:35am, this is how I look like right after waking up. I don't even have my eyeglasses on so I got no way to see fairly anything around me (being blind<3).

Just sat on my PC chair and glared at Anni who got back from her home and was taking this picture too. I really do hate mornings and waking up, is it believable? :D Even if I don't have to go to school or work, I still don't like waking up.. Guess the quote "I'm in love with my bed but an alarm clock doesn't let us stay together" fits for me quite well.
Oh and, facebook opened. Don't know whose, everyone's been using my PC. :o

12:21pm. This is quite a random photo but.. We didn't get anything else from this hour anyways. Linda was still sleeping on the sofa when me and Anni were hanging around inside. I was taking my time to actually wake up aswell..
But alright, about the sofa. It's called "Titja's sofa" since my mom taught Titja to be on that sofa when Titja was still our only dog. The sofa was in the same room with my mom's bed (when I still lived with her) and because she didn't want Titja to jump onto her bed, she asked her to jump on the sofa so Titja learned to sleep on it. Because Titja has taken that sofa as "her own place", I had to take the sofa with me once I moved on my own. There's still this sofa's left corner where she likes to sleep at.. and which is absolutely hers. She might spend a lot of time staring at someone who dares to sit at her place and uses every possible chance to get her place back - like happened in this photo..
I swear she doesn't feel good being there in such a little place. But she MUST be there because it's HER PLACE anyways. Such a silly dog I have <3.

1:15pm beginning to wash the clothes once Linda had woken up and I got her and Anni to help me. In Finland we got these "laundry rooms" - or in our case little buildings outside there - if we live in an apartment house (or that kind of a house) and don't have our own washing machine. There's basically two washing machines and a drier machine + one bigger drier-room for bigger things like carpets. You just reserve a time to go there by writing your name in the list of days and enter the building with your home keys.
I'm not quite sure if people are allowed to take their dogs in there but I do almost every time. The voices from all the machines are great training specially for the puppies. This time we had Titja and Noomi with us. After putting dirty clothes into the machines we went outside to take some video of Noomi's obedience training.

2:49pm I was visiting the laundry building alone. We had gone inside after taking some video of Noomi so I took new dogs outside with me. Nita & Veila as my little helpers this time - though they weren't actually helping much.. I just moved just washed clothes into the drier and put in the second round of dirty stuff - bed sheets, towels, etc.

3:55pm been cleaning the gerbil's cage for a while by now.. Almost ready with it. Gerbils were waiting in the travelling box during the time I cleaned their "home" - Lilja actually showing up in the photo aswell. :)
Before letting them back to the cage I went into the bedroom to check their condition like I'm used to do - checked nails, teeth, ears, fur and stuff one by one. I put them on the sofa for a while to see that their running is all clear aswell, and took them back. Lilja started to act really weird, she totally froze. I don't know how to actually explain her reaction, but it lasted for a while and everything returned to the normal state once she had been a few minutes in the cage again. I discussed with one of my friends who knows more about rodents than me and we came to a solution that she might've just had some kind of a shock/panic attack. Lilja is quite insecure anyways and possibly the new smell on the bed (cat's smell) might've got her shocked. I'll be following her condition better now though if it happens to be something else.

4:48pm. I took Veila with me and went to take all the clothes and stuff away from the laundry building since my reserved laundry time was supposed to end at 5pm. In the photo Titja checking and giving her acceptance that everything's really clean. ;)

5:22pm it was Linda's time to leave from my place. She had been over at my place for almost two weeks, so she had quite a lot of stuff (specially dog food!) with her. The photo isn't the best possible, it's taken fast before her mom arrived to pick her and her dogs up. Linda herself wasn't willing to show up in the picture so she just made her dogs - Nita & Noomi - to stay next to all their stuff. So this is how we said bye to Linda (at least for some time!). Anni promised to stay at my place for a bit to help me clean my apartment up. I've been feeling quite powerless today but I still wanted a clean home this evening.

6:32pm vacuum-cleaning.. or actually just finishing it. The photo shows how many helpers I basically have every time I'm trying to do something on my own. Even the cat Minus decided to get next to the vacuum-cleaner when I was taking the picture. Began to feel really bad during this, but still decided to broom since I had already started cleaning up. Luckily Anni promised to do the dishes (she's the kitchen person anyways, I definitely am not) meanwhile, really huge thanks to her - wouldn't have managed it alone today <3

7:17pm after finishing all the cleaning (including cat's WC), I decided to go clean some mirror and take a shower at the same time. The mirror's been on the floor so dogs have been poking it with their noses trying to figure who's the weird-looking dude showing up in there (when they were watching their own mirror, of course).

8:32pm decided to feed my dogs even though Anni was still over at my place with her dog. Milka was questioning my decision to leave her without food when I fed all my own girls, haha. Yeah right, all of my dogs (puppy too) eat Jahti&Vahti Energy food.

9:30pm on the PC.. Drinking some Fanta and browsing on random sites, not really chatting on MSN since none of the persons who I usually chat with were online. After taking the shower I started to feel even worse than before so I had to get my thermometer and checked my fever. 37.5°C, when my normal should be around 36.3°C. That explains why I've been feeling so bad and quite cold today when the day actually was quite warm. All the cleaning up caused every piece of my body to feel hurt so I mostly just wanted to sit in there without doing anything. Took a photo of the screens anyways, opened karvaturrit.net main page for it too. ;P Thermometer also noticeable in the picture..

10:19pm. My girls right after I got back inside with them. Anni left from my place so I brought my dogs outside at the same time. Even though we weren't that long outside.. the fever started to get over me so I returned inside quite fast. Titja wasn't in the leash this time because I know for sure that she's able to behave if needed, can't say the same about Nadja.. kept Veila in the leash too so she wouldn't start playing (means sometimes "losing" her ears - not listening), I really wasn't in the mood to get them back under my command if they happened to misbehave.

11:41pm. Just because I'm stubborn, I didn't wanna go bed just yet even if I was feeling absolutely bad. I updated our webpage with Veila's growing pictures and managed to have a short chat with few friends on MSN aswell. Once I dragged myself to bed shortly after updating the site I felt like I couldn't have got myself to move anymore, and fell asleep quickly.

What a day, I must say.. At least my home's really clean now, and it's nice to have some time alone (as alone as you can be having 3 dogs, 3 rodents and a cat in your house) aswell after having two friends (and a few extra dogs) over for almost two weeks. Thanks to Linda & Anni for the past two weeks anyways<3.
